PROJECT
Project Summary – March 2025
In March 2025, we completed a gate replacement project at a private residence in Edinburgh, Scotland, following damage caused by severe weather. The existing electric double swing gates and accompanying pedestrian gate had been compromised beyond repair, prompting a full replacement.
We installed a modern aluminium electric track sliding gate, providing a durable, low-maintenance, and space-efficient solution ideal for narrow or sloping driveways. The gate is powered by a reliable 24V LiftMaster automation system, paired with a GSM dial-to-open device, allowing remote access via mobile phone—offering the client seamless control and enhanced security.
In addition to the main gate, we supplied and fitted a matching lockable aluminium pedestrian gate, ensuring consistent design and practicality for foot traffic.
Our client selected the stock Emerald style, a popular contemporary design known for its clean vertical lines and understated elegance. Both gates were finished in Anthracite Grey (RAL 7016), a timeless, modern shade that complements a variety of architectural styles while providing excellent resistance to weather and wear.
To complete the installation, we incorporated custom-made whinstone setts and edging, installed along either side of the sliding gate track and within the pedestrian gate zone. These high-quality stone elements were chosen by the client to create a neat, visually cohesive transition between the gates and the surrounding landscape.
This project significantly enhanced the property's entrance aesthetics, functionality, and security, while offering long-term durability with minimal maintenance requirements.

Project Summary – May 2025
In May 2025, we successfully completed a comprehensive gate replacement project in Dunfermline. The scope involved the removal of an outdated and worn pair of electric double swing gates, which had become unreliable and no longer suited the client’s security or aesthetic requirements.
These were replaced with a modern pair of electric double swing aluminium driveway gates, designed to enhance both functionality and curb appeal. The new gates feature a gentle upward curve, rising from 1800mm at the sides to 2000mm at the centre, creating a striking yet elegant entrance profile.
Our client chose the stock Liberty style, a timeless and refined design that blends traditional lines with a modern edge. The gates were finished in RAL 9005 (Jet Black), providing a sleek, sophisticated look that complements a wide range of property styles while offering excellent durability and weather resistance.
This installation not only improved the property's security and accessibility but also added a bold architectural statement to the entrance.

Project Summary – May 2025
In May 2025, we completed a full gate replacement project at a private residence in Kelso, Scottish Borders. The existing timber gates had suffered extensive weather damage and were no longer fit for purpose, prompting the client to opt for a modern, low-maintenance solution.
We installed a pair of electric double swing aluminium driveway gates, automated using underground automation equipment for a clean and discreet finish. The system is operated via a VIDEX GSM intercom with both internal and external keypads, allowing for secure access control. For added convenience, vehicle exit is automated through an induction loop, allowing gates to open automatically as vehicles approach from inside the property.
The new gates feature a graceful upswept curve, rising from 1600mm at the sides to 1800mm at the centre, delivering both visual impact and elegant symmetry. Our client selected the Upswept style, a classic design that marries traditional form with modern materials.
Finished in Farrow & Ball’s ‘Pigeon’, a soft, muted grey-green tone, the gates add subtle sophistication and complement the property's overall aesthetic while ensuring durability and weather resistance.
This installation significantly enhanced the property's security, functionality, and visual appeal, offering a modern yet timeless upgrade to the entrance.

In their place, we installed a modern aluminium electric track sliding gate, offering a more secure, space-efficient, and low-maintenance solution.
The new gate is fully automated using a LiftMaster sliding gate motor, known for its reliability and smooth operation. For access control, we integrated a VIDEX GSM intercom system with a built-in keypad. This allows the homeowners to receive calls from the gate and operate it remotely from anywhere in the world via mobile connectivity—enhancing both convenience and security.
Our client opted for the stock Emerald style, a sleek, contemporary design that combines clean lines with a strong presence. The gate was finished in RAL 9005 (Jet Black), delivering a bold, modern look that complements the property while offering excellent weather resistance and durability.
As part of the installation, we also carried out groundwork modifications, including the removal, cutting, and re-laying of mono blocks on either side of the sliding gate track to ensure a clean and seamless finish. Additionally, we installed black wall-mounted LED lights at the gate entrance, which operate automatically via a dusk-to-dawn sensor, improving visibility and enhancing the property's nighttime appearance.
This project not only improved the functionality and aesthetics of the entrance but also provided a robust, user-friendly solution tailored to modern living.
